Decision:
Cllr Julie Arnold introduced her motion and explained that when Council last looked at this in May, it was to be deferred while a meeting was organised between Cllr Arnold and the Portfolio Holder Jackie Charlton. However no progress had been made with a meeting and the motion was back on the agenda.
A discussion was held about the impacts of the changes to the recycling centre including the limited ability for digitally excluded persons to book a slot. Suggestions were made on how to improve the changes. It is also likely that Cllr Arnold will be meeting with Cllr Charlton in the coming weeks along with the Council's Waste and Recycling Manager.
RESOLVED
To call on Powys County Council to reverse it’s changes to recycling centres and restore single story recycling skips at Welshpool Household Recycling Centre and instructs the Town Clerk to write to the appropriate Cabinet Member expressing the above.
