Decision:

The Town Clerk summarised the paper and explained that these proposals had been discussed and approved by Finance & Governance Committee. The Town Clerk then left the meeting.

A discussion was held by members.

RESOLVED
To note the findings of the Independent Staffing Review;
To approve the revised staffing structure as set out in the Town Clerk's Recommendations and at the end of the report; and
To instruct the Town Clerk to:
- Hold a consultation with affected staff in accordance with employment legislation;
- Consider the responses to the consultation in consultation with the Chair of the Finance & Governance Committee;
- Draft and refine job descriptions and use model NJC contract for all staff;
- If no significant issues are identified during the consultation, implement the new structure from the 1st January 2026.
