Decision:
The Committee reviewed the report received from the Events and Markets Manager from the Carnival Working Group meeting held on 23rd March 2026.
Cllr Phil Owen suggested contacting the British Bobsleigh team to see if they would provide a static display at the event.
The Events and Markets Manager was asked to recirculate the videos of the potential singer, Harvey Ralphs.
Councillors suggested the sports clubs hold team sports as the main event.
Cllr Morag Bailey has contacted the Rugby club to see if they would organise the tug-of-war competition.
RESOLVED
To create an itinerary for the day so acts can be sorted and slotted, creating a full entertaining afternoon; and
To approach multiple MCs/PA/sound individuals for a quote.
