Decision:
The Town Clerk explained that Full Council had to decide this request as it was above the amount that the Events & Planning had in relation to delegated powers. The budget for this year is set at £2000 which is far less than the quotations or estimates for the previous two years. A discussion took place and members expressed their desire to ensure that the town had Christmas Lights. The Town Clerk advised that a provisional date of w/c 6th October had been booked in for installation of lights and removal of bunting. Councillors asked that in future that the source of funds to move in a virement would also accompany the request.
RESOLVED
To accept the quotation for festive lighting installation, removal and anchor point testing from Derand Ltd at a cost of £9,267.00 excluding VAT.
