Decision:

The Chair of the Committee, Cllr Morag Bailey introduced and proposed that the recommendations were accepted. A discussion took place regarding the proposed renewal of Health and Safety provision and a proposal that each consideration of each recommendation individually was made.

An amendment was proposed to the recommendation relating to HR / Employment law support which was considered by Council.

A heated debate took place between Cllr William Rowell and Cllr Sally Fitzgerald to which Cllr William Rowell apologised for.

The recommendation relating to Community Angels was withdrawn as the situation was clarified.

Cllr Carol Robinson left the meeting.

RESOLVED
To approve the renewal contract with WorkNest for Health and Safety, Fire Safety support and optional Health & Safety prosecution insurance for 5 years at £5546.48 per annum.
