Decision:
The Mayor congratulated Cllr Nick Howells on their election as Chair for the municipal year. Cllr Nick Howells explained the resolutions and recommendations made and the background to the other items of health and safety discussed in relation to the Town Hall. Cllr Howells also expressed a view that the current Fire Risk Assessment written by WorkNest, the Council's H&S advisors was not to the standard that he would like with his professional experience and has requested that they return to amend elements of the plan.
RESOLVED
To note the findings of the Worknest Fire Risk Assessment Audit;
To approve the Fire Risk Assessment Action Plan which is attached; and
To authorise officers to implement recommendations that can be accommodated within existing budgets, or items requiring significant capital expenditure be brought back to Operations & Development Committee with costed options.
