To receive nominations and to elect the Chair of the Events and Planning Committee for the 2026-2027 municipal year.

2. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIR

To receive nominations and to elect the Vice Chair of the Events and Planning Committee for the 2026-2027 municipal year.

3. WELCOME, CODE OF CONDUCT AND APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

To welcome Councillors and members of the public, to remind attendees to show respect for all throughout the meeting in line with the obligations of the Code of Conduct, and to receive and, if appropriate, approve apologies for absence.

7. TOURISM & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

7.1. Information Centre

To receive a report from the Community Services Manager on the footfall, train tickets and holidays and other matters related to the Information Centre.

7.2. Tourism Project

To consider an update from the Town Clerk on the tourism project.

8. BUSINESS PLANNING & FINANCIAL MATTERS

8.1. Interim Strategic Plan Action Plan

To consider the approved committee Interim Strategic Plan action plan.

8.2. Budget and Committee Finance (Month 2)

To consider the current spending position against the budget for the committee for May 2026 (Month 2).

9.1. Welshpool Fair Trade

To discuss a future event regarding Welshpool Fair Trade (Cllr William Rowell).

9.2. Farmers Market

To receive an update on the potential of holding a monthly Farmers’ Market in the Corn Exchange, starting alongside the Continental Market Weekend - 4th and 5th July 2026.

9.3. Flicks in the Sticks

To receive an update on Flicks in the Sticks which was held on Monday 11th May 2026 with 46 in attendance with total income from £87.40; and
To note that from 1st November onwards, our fee for the screening service provided will increase from £150+VAT to £175+VAT.

9.4. Summer Cinema & Craft Session

To discuss the potential of holding a short film and craft session aimed at under 7's at a total cost of £120 + VAT, and to decide on a date (weekend day) during the Summer.

To consider the proposal to hold a film and craft session aimed at under 7 year olds during the summer at a total cost of £120 and authorise officers to organise and determine a date.

9.5. Walking Festival

To consider any updates in respect of the proposed Walking Festival (Cllr William Rowell).

9.6. Dance Festival

To consider any updates in respect of the proposed Dance Festival (Cllr Phil Owen).

9.7. Carnival

To consider the attached report on the Carnival.

9.8. Remembrance Band 2027

To consider booking the Wrexham Concert Band again for 2027. £300 deposit would be required to secure the booking.

To consider the report from the Town Clerk in respect of Open Doors for 2026.
