1. WELCOME, CODE OF CONDUCT AND APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

5.1. Information Centre
To receive a report from the Community Services Manager on the footfall, train tickets and holidays and other matters related to the Information Centre.

To note the update on the Visit Welshpool programme.
6. BUSINESS PLANNING & FINANCIAL MATTERS
6.1. Interim Strategic Plan Action Plan
To consider the approved committee Interim Strategic Plan action plan.
6.2. Budget and Committee Finance (Month 6)
To consider the current spending position against the budget for the committee for Month 6.
6.3. Lead Councillors
Following the decision of Full Council, to elect up to two members as lead councillors for the following events/projects:
- Carnival
- Winter Festival
- Halloween Parade & Party
- Dance Festival
- Walking Festival
- Continental Market
- Book Sale
- Visit Welshpool - Branding, App/Web, Town Guide & Voucher Scheme
- Visit Welshpool - Business Forum
6.4. Draft 1 Budget 2027/28
To consider the report from the Town Clerk in respect of Draft 1 budget for 2027/28.
7. EVENTS
7.1. Eisteddfod Maldwyn Meirionnydd
To welcome representatives from Eisteddfod Maldwyn Meirionnydd to discuss ways that the Council can support efforts to contribute to the Local Fund.
7.2. Continental Market 2027
To consider the return of the Continental Market from 16th to 18th July 2027.
To consider an expansion of the event to cover local food and include a stage, and to source local entertainment/performers to take part next year to celebrate and enhance the event.
7.3. Remembrance 2026
To note the verbal report from the Events & Markets Manager in respect of arrangements for Remembrance events in 2026.
7.4. Carnival
To consider an update from the Events Manager regarding the recent Carnival public meeting held at the Royal Oak on Wednesday, 30th September 2026.
7.5. Halloween Parade and Party 2026
To receive an update regarding the Halloween Parade and Party taking place on 31st October 2026.
7.6. Live Acts at Welshpool Town Hall
To consider any potential live acts for Welshpool Town Hall in 2026/27 (26/27 Community Events Budget: £2630 remaining with £1453 required in income).
7.7. Winter Festival
To consider the reports from the Events & Markets Manager in relation to the Winter Festival.
7.8. Cuppa with a Councillor
To consider a verbal update from the Events & Markets Manager in respect of Cuppa with a Councillor initiative.
7.9. Book Sale 2026
To note the donations received for the Book Sale in 2026 and to consider where to allocate the donated funds; to consider the request from Powis Castle to donate some books to their book shop.
7.10. White Ribbon Day
To receive an update regarding White Ribbon Day which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday 25th November 2026.
